I founded AMJ Closet out of a deep passion for helping individuals and families in my community who are experiencing hardship. I am a 25 year old who graduated high school in 2019 while also earning my Associate’s degree. I later attended Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), where I graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology.
Through my education and my work in the mental health field, I have had the opportunity to work closely with individuals facing challenges such as homelessness, financial hardship, and limited access to essential resources. Witnessing these needs firsthand inspired me to create AMJ Closet as a way to give back and provide support to those who need it most.I recently completed my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University. Currently I am working toward my Doctorate in Human Services With an anticipated completion of May 2028. My goal is to combine my professional knowledge and passion for service to continue making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals and families in my community.Through AMJ Closet, I hope to provide more than just essential items like clothing, hygiene products, and food. My mission is to create a space where people feel supported, respected, and reminded that they are not alone.
